A "hard wipe" is when the entire fireteam dies during a mission and has nothing to do with orbit. The drop rates for all mobs in public areas have been reduced in the last patch but repeated killing of mobs has nothing to do with the drop rates. Actually read the patch notes instead of going off what idiots on the site say.
