You could always order one from online.
If were you I would wait until they've fixed this bending issue, A few friends have bought new phone only to have the warp within a few days. I'll stick with my iPhone 4

No, the Apple store will be pretty much the only place you can buy an iPhone already unlocked for worldwide GSM use.
There are some headache inducing work arounds though. You could buy the locked version at any carrier store(my recommendation would be AT&T or T-Mobile), provide your proof of purchase(i.e. receipt) to that carriers customer service and they should release the unlock to you. Some carriers have different policies regarding unlocking so you may or may not have to have the phone active on the locked network for so many days/months before they will release the unlock. T-Mobiles is 40 days. AT&T doesn't require that wait if you buy the phone in full, as far as i'm aware. Make sure to ask before giving them your money.
Also, I know that Verizon iPhone 5/5s came factory unlocked from Verizon but i'm not sure about the 6/6 pluss, you might stop by a Verizon store and ask if it is still that way with the new iPhones. Make sure to ask if they are unlocked for worldwide GSM use if you want a truly unlocked phone.
Best of luck.
If you are not in the US, sorry I wasted our time.

Apple is the safest way to buy one that is unlocked. Buying one that is already unlocked will cost a much higher price as well.

I would wait till the Apple store gets more in stock. It's the safest place to buy.

Order it off your cell providers website. It will come in 2 weeks and it will be faster then finding it available in any shop. Plus I have the iPhone 6 Plus and I snapped it in my pocket it. Apple recalled them so they are replacing the backs of the phone so they are stronger. You won't find an iPhone 6 Plus in any store for atleast a month or two.
