About 2 weeks ago, every single Microsoft console in my house was banned from Xbox Live. (Even the retail consoles) I'm guessing you would call this an IP ban.

I gave up on modding ever since that happened because I just bought an Xbox One, and I don't want to get IP banned again and have the Xbox One banned. I want to start modding online again because it was gaining me a lot of money, and now i'm broke XD

My question is why was i IP banned in the first place and how did it happen? It appears that this occurs rarely and most of my modder friends have been modding for years, yet it has never happened to them. (I've been modding for 2 weeks at the max) So i'm guessing i did something wrong, but i'm not sure what that was.

Also, how can i prevent this from happening again so i can get back to modding online? If this happens again, i will be F*cked. I cannot have my brand new Xbox One banned or the profile that is on it. Like i said, people have been modding for over 5 years with no IP bans whatsoever, so obviously i did something wrong.

If you have any solutions, please leave them down below. Thanks!

Get on a VPN LMAO its pretty much ur only chance that or you might be able to get a new IP address from you're provider (Internet Provider)

When you bring a modified console online and get banned it will basically flag your router, not exactly your IP because IPs can change (dynamic IPs may cause issues for random players in different areas if IP banning was enforced).

Think about it like this. When you set memory on your console (like gold spoofing) it'll stay on your console until you restart it. It's just like that. Microsoft will basically ban every console that connects to Xbox Live using that router during that period of time by basically doing something like setting memory, and you can prevent it by restarting your router.

If you were using offline files I'd suggest spoofing your ip (preferably using a VPN), or if you were using a stealth service maybe it didn't have ip spoofing or something.. Or maybe your retails were connected to xbl while you were modding online? It sucks that it happened to you bro.
