I personally say NO they are not healthy. The ingredient list on them usually reads like a chemistry experiment gone awry, and most of them have to much sugar/net-carb content, along with added oils that are probably overrefined/rancid. Also, many have soy-protein/content, which is NOT healthy to consume really in an significant quantity (unless you like having to much estrogen in your system).
While on-the-go, I would much rather eat a mixture of no/low salt natural nuts (almonds + pistachios + etc), without the added oils and crap in them of course. Healthy, natural (unaltered) fats are one of the best things you can eat to be lean and healthy, and should comprise around 50% of your caloric intake (in the place of those toxic extra sugars and net-carbs most people eat to much of).
At home, I would rather have a glass of all-natural, unsweetened coconut/almond milk mixture with an added scoop of all-natural, *cold-processed* cocoa whey protein (non-sugar), along with some raw snack veggies like radishes, beets, carrots, cauliflower, bell peppers, etc.
