Miss wrote I despise the police, hate me for it I don't care. I live in southern California so it might be hard for some people to understand, especially when they live in richer areas of the country. But, over here, they are ridiculous. I know my rights and I ALWAYS turn on my phone's camera, so I never get in trouble or anything, but it's the way they try and abuse the little to no power they think they have.
I can go on and on with stories of why I hate them, but at the end of the day, everyone will be against me so it would be rather pointless. And theirs always the people that say "they only show corrupt cops on the media" or "Just because one video shows a cop like that, doesn't mean they all are". Which I'm not saying they are, but I'd say 99% are just from experience.... especially Gang Unit. Most of the cops around here I can tell we're the dbags in high school with no education and no plans for the future.
1. Not mad expressing your opinion perfectly fine.
2. Need an Associates degree for most large cities and states with large Departments.
3. Not talking about abuse of power by police necessarily, but I see your point and am all too familiar with those that get carried away but what they have. I am talking about people hating on innocent police officers who have done nothing but their job. It is a polices job to enforce the law and trust me, we have all been on the good and bad side of it. But the riots and protest over something that all the facts haven't been released, people jumping to conclusions, like the tweets the were shown in the article. I never base my opinion, unless there is no other choice, until all the facts have been presented. Now this is coming from someone who wants to be a lawyer, and is what I'm studying now, but justice will be served to those who deserve it. And although I might one day have to defend someone who is guilty, I will resent every minute of it, but I will do my job. Just like those police, you think that they woke up that morning wanting to kill someone, and put themselves in a position where they would have to discharge their firearm? Its part of their job, and no matter how unpleasant and how many jerks they deal with in a day, thats what they have to do.

You'd be surprised to actually how many of them do probably wake up and think something like that.

I really actually would. Grew up with police all around me. I have multiple friends in Law-Enforcement who have probably been in situations where they could have, but haven't. Good friend of mine works in Buskwick, Brooklyn and his partner was stabbed with a 7 inch kitchen knife by a guy on PCP. That allows the officer to shoot, but he instead maced, and tackled the guy to the ground. Which is indeed very hard when someone is on PCP and has near super natural strength. It also took a lot more energy. But the good new is his partner was relatively ok, because the blade missed the important stuff. But my friend didn't know that, he just acted. So yes, I would be surprised.

Has anyone confirmed that the teen had a gun? Witnesses say he just had a sandwich in his hand. If I was there and saw that, I would be mad too if it were true (that he was unarmed.)
I know not all cops are bad, but I can't help but feel that a majority of cops are bad. You have cops that need to meet a quota, so they do what they "have" to do (like in the form of planting evidence or lying.) Where are these good cops ratting them out? I'm not saying it never happens, but it isn't in the majority of cases. Like that group of cops that were eventually caught sexually abusing suspects. Why did it take that long to find out? Then you have all of these videos of cops beating people, and these are only the ones caught on video. Also, had a cop in my own home steal money out of my cousin's wallet and the other cops did nothing. I'm sorry, but I can't help but feel there is a major problem in law enforcement. Would totally love to be proven wrong though.

People can hate whoever they want? May not be right but that's the way it is. Not all police officers are bad but most nowadays are.. It's sad but its the truth!
