Gears of War: Arena is the next generation of Gears of War, for PC.
After years of neglect the original PC version of 'Gears of War' produced by Epic Games, People can Fly and Microsoft Studios. Me and my team of only myself right now have decided to give it some love. We are completely redesigning the games experience. We are working on adding tons of new features and content, As well as removing all of the useless features and content,We are also tweaking the old content to make it feel more modern. I will get into all of this in a bit.

Removed Features
I would first like to covert some of the things we are removing, and those things are need for GFWL (Games for windows live), The reason for this is because GFWL is no longer used and the game can no longer be purchased anywhere on the web for a reasonable price. We will be working on our own 3-step account system, so you can play easy and freely with your friends. Another thing we are removing is the campaign, The campaign takes up a very large amount of space and since we are aiming towards a multi-player only game we decided to remove it from the game (This decision is not permanent, it may be re-added).

Added Features
Before you could only play with yourself and whoever joined the lobby, The game will now have the ability to join a game as a party of 5. The game will also add a leveling system as seen in the pictures below(I am level 1 out of 99), Something the original game did not feature in any way. We will also be adding a whole new set of maps, weapons and even playable characters. All of them ranging from Gears of War 2 to Judgement

Changed Stuff
On top of all those added and removed features we are also overhauling what the previous developers have left. This includes but is not limited to: Main menu, Maps, Core features, Maps, Weapons. The reason for this is that the old menu Gears of War PC menu did not fit into how we wanted the game to work, so we completely changed it.

TL;DR
We are updating the old gears of war pc. It is going to be easier to use and hopefully more widely played. We also added and removed some stuff.
