so i just updated my rgh and i heard to update the avatar so it shows up i had to go to xbox.com/update so i did and i followed all the instructions. i put the update files onto a disk and put the disk in and started it up when it started up it says that my console is up to date. how do i get my avatar to show up?

You'll want to download the file linked here Forums/t=6731741/avatar-update-link-16767.html

Assuming you already have this file though rename the folder to $$ystemupdate, copy it to a usb, insert that usb into your xbox and try and start a game or xex menu. A prompt will come up, say yes and it will start to extract and install the files. Also make sure you have selected an avatar.

for some reason when ever i put it on my flash drive nothing shows up on it when i open it in xex menu

dont format the usb to the xbox, put the $$ystemUpdate on the root of the memory stick

If you are on the latest dash verion just accept the update from xbl. thats what I do and it works. doesnt ban your console either. but only do it if your on the latest dash otherwise you might get banned or something.

Any modded console that goes on without stealth is banned instantly from what I've heard. Either way, unless your using stealth, this is something you don't do. As for poleroids, make sure you have an avatar created and that the usb is not formatted for the xbox. Also make sure it is on the root of the usb as skittles said.

so i should get a kv and put stealth then when i sign in accept the update?
