I never use my 360 now, i find it so boring, back then i used to have people to play with so i guess i played it more, i used to be hyped about new games but now i couldn't care less.

I've grown up i guess and rather spend time out with friends than sit on xbox chatting sh*t

I have been gaming for over 25 years and it has changed ALOT.
It used to be all about the story and the playability (and games could be 4 discs long) and then as the tech took over it became all about the graphics and fps.

Gaming used to be about escaping on your own but now it's all about sharing your gaming experience with your friends and with the gaming world.

I guess for this generation(most of you)gaming is/has been at it's best with your friends so when your friends move on gaming looses some of it's interest and appeal.

I had times where I played xbox in my room with the blinds closed every summer. Had like 3 or 4 friends over just playing Mortal Kombat, or street fighter whatever. Those days were absolutely awesome.. But then as you get older you get into your social life and then gaming just kinda diminishes from your life.. It honestly kinda sucks but we all gotta grow up.. Don't we? I'm now almost 17 and got a job that i starting soon so my gaming days are going to be drifting away like everyone else's..

I'm very similar to you.
I started gaming with Halo: CE when I was very young.
I played a LOT throughout highschool, from when I got home, to early morning.
I was really into sniping, and youtube clan stuff.
So I spent hours trying to get clips, and just dominating with my team.

Recently I barely play, and when I do its just casual.
I dont think all the games are getting worse, just COD which is what I mainly played.
My friends dont buy the new ones, so I have no one to play with which makes it boring.
Then I play it alone, bored, and see how bad of a game it is.

Vouch.
I used to pump hours on end into skyrim, morrowind, oblivion, fallout. Now i prefer short and snappy games with a good storyline (the walking dead), i also play some counter strike.

Totaly agree with you man. Video gaming has died down alot for me. I used to play everyday back when Halo 3 and Cod4 was at its prime and video gaming felt so much better even to the MW2 and WaW days. Id play with my friends all the time we would be stoked for when the new Call of dutys came out, now things are not like how they used to be. Video gaming doesnt have the same feel as how it used to be the excitment just isnt there anymore. But yes I agree with you video gaming felt more popular in 2007-2012 but yea time sure flies I'm out of highschool aswell and I dont have to much time for video games, but say if i did have more time for video games the excitment just isnt there like how it used to be.

For me I don't think it's changed one bit.

I'm 22, left school at 16 and currently work as a plumbing and heating engineer. I have a missus (3 years strong) and a social life.

The majority of my friends still play regular as well, some of them have kids ETC.. Just depends on the person I suppose.

Gaming has been something I've grown up with and will probably a hobby of mine for a long time.

I cant quote everyone lol

but i wish i was in your position, but none of my true friends play anymore i found myself playing games with people much younger than me which i suppose are just like me when i used to play..

also not to be cocky but when i used to play gb ect id have clans that where top page or even top 5. and now i feel i get wrecked by people because i dont play it enough which annoys me so i dont like playing at times..
