So in a few days I'm going to be getting next gen, but I'am not sure which one to get. I'm getting both in the long run, but which one should I get first? Just let me know it will be greatly appreciated. Also if you could let me know why that would be splendid.

They both have there flaws.

If you're going to get both, think about which one has better exclusives sooner.
And also think about how many friends have which console.
I got an Xbox one and none of my friends have it so it can be pretty boring.
But if you have a 360 I'd suggest going to the One. Switching to the PS4 would be a weird transition.

I have both consoles at the moment, and I've been playing the one more lately. I would say go with the xbox one if you are a halo fan.
I'm waiting for the halo collection, then I'm going to beat all the campaigns over a weekend with some old friends.
PS4 is a great console, but I'm waiting for bloodborne before I really put a lot of time into that console.

Completely agree with this. Get whatever one your friends have. You will have people to play with and overall will have a better gaming experience.
Just an FYI: Transition is not that bad. I made it very quickly because I prefer Fifa on the PS4. I still say A,B,Y,X, but its the same control no matter what you call them.
