For those atheists reading this, here's a nice thought, or a horrible one depending on how you look at it.
Given the possibility of multiple Universe's existing, and the possibility of there being an infinite amount of time for events to occur within these Universe's, it is probable that somewhere out there another Earth will form, and your body will come together in exactly the same way as it has this time, meaning that you will become conscious again. After all, there's no reason to think that your consciousness isn't directly connected to the arrangement of atoms in your brain and nervous system.
You might have even lived before, numerous times.
Alternatively, eternal nothingness doesn't sound too bad.

Well there could be an afterlife, I remember seeing something talking about a dr who did tests on people who about to die and he took their weight before and then right after, and they weighed each 23 grams less, he believed that was the soul leaving the body. But believe whatever you want, I believe in heaven

"The mucles in the bowel and bladder are in a constant state of contraction under control of the nervous system when you expire the nervous system dies and the mucles relax and you defacate and urinate any contents in the bowel and bladder."
Not a soul leaving the corpse. EDIT: I'll leave rude comments to myself, lol

I believe in reincarnation. So, after death we'll live on as something else or get a second chance at life as a human, if you are lucky.

Im going to copy and paste what i put an an achrived thread about the same sort of thing.
This may get weird to some people, for some weird reason i felt the need to type all that so read if you want, but this is truly what i believe in. I didn't include everything of course Very Happy
This is MY opinion. Please respect what i believe in.
Now before i get to the question in the OP, i am going to explain my beliefs because you won't get what im talking about if i didn't put them in.
I am not a christian, i don't believe in god or any higher being for that matter. I believe that everything happens(ed) by chance and that we as individuals have complete control over what we can do(There are limits, not mind control xD). The earth was made by chance and everything else. I do not believe in heaven or hell.
The real question is: Do we ever die? I honestly don't know for sure. This is based of of my own beliefs, but what do you consider death? If you consider death to be when your physical body dies then of course we will die someday.
This is what i consider death, there isn't death. I see our bodies like vessels being used for us to live in and and the real us is the energy inside our brain(For simplicity ill use the word spirit), and that when our physical bodies die we become spirits and we transition to another world or something along those lines. So yes there is death, but depending on your beliefs it may be different.
Now that is all i believe in for sure, i could go on forever about the rest i believe in but you guys probably thing im weird or just have watched to many Si-Fi movies
