I thought I'd share and get your opinions on this.

Of his 13.7 million followers, 6/10 of them think he's just stupid for this.
That still leaves a good amount that go along with his claims.

Personally, I also think he's stupid for this.
4000 deaths might seem liked a lot at the surface, but it's only 0.000056% of the population.

That's hardly "population control".

I'm not sure that I disagree that it COULD be used as population control given that it's estimated to rise to around 10,000 new cases per week with 7/10 people dying.
So as it gets worse it could escalate to killing a lot more people.

However, I don't think it's being 'used' as population control, or being 'used' at all.
It's just another unfortunate outbreak, just like there have been happening on and off since 1976.

I am worried about it spreading through Africa though.
I don't think first world countries are going to be heavily affected by it, but the underdeveloped African countries will have a severe [more severe] problem on their hands if this isn't contained soon. I think most people who are saying they aren't too worried about it are only really thinking about first world countries, and are neglecting the threat that it poses to African countries in their discussions about it.

I wouldnt go as far as saying he is a Ebola conspiracist. Maybe he just thinks that its a lot of deaths but its not TO THE POPULATION COUNT.

If anything should be questioned as some sort of population control, it should be the fact that cigarettes are still legal and there is a McDonalds on every street corner.

Cigarettes, Alcohol and Obesity (McDonalds etc) are the top 3 killers in the world, all of them are completely legal in the states -- yet you get sent to jail for years if you have an ounce of weed on you.

The logic behind this appalls me.

Just think about how much it is going to spread. It's turning into an epidemic. The more people that it hits, the faster it spreads. There are already people stating that it is starting to turn airborne.

There has never been a virus in history to change it's basic mode of transmission that radically.

Yes, it is possible, but the chances of it happening are slim to none.

PREACH! If Marijuana was legal for recreational use and taxed and regulated like in Colorado and Washington State, our economy would improve exponentially. Not to mention crime going down, more natural recourse, more medicine and less restriction on the research of cannabis.

OT I just think that Ebola was a test of a bio weapon. They released it on the people of Africa to see how the virus would work out. It wouldn't be the first time.
