I cannot connect to the ea servers at all! If anyone can help me out itd be greatly appreciated

Try this, when downloading the update, something went wrong and it got stuck. So what you do is you press the PS button, go up to notifications, go to downloads, see if Fifa update is there and is not downloading, press the options button, delete that update. That's what I did, and after it downloaded and installed correctly, it works now!

I don't know if your on PS though.
