I wasn't really looking for a reason not too, if people say it is the best thing to get for a moderate price range then it will be what I get. I could also up my ram to 16gb, It would honestly take me like 1 extra week and I could have a little more to spend on the build.

So what if I raised my budget to say $2500 price range, What adjustments would you make to stancyys build? Or what build would you make with $2500 New Zealand Dollars.

I'm not that stanky, but thanks. GTX 970 is newer than the 780 Ti and much more power efficient, it's also pretty much on par with the 780 Ti performance wise for a lower price.

This build is under $2500NZD without the moue and keyboard;

You could instead, up the RAM to 2x8GB and get a GTX 980, instead of increasing storage capacity and swapping the CPU.

Hmmm So the build you have there is what you would do with $2500? You increased the storage to 2tb and upped it to 16gb of ram. You also changed the CPU, and the power supply. You recommend going to the GTX 980 instead of the 970?

I know what I changed, I never touched the PSU, it's still the same one. I'd go with tht instead of swapping the 970 for a 980 since it's unlikely you'll make use of the extra GPU power from a GTX 980 over a GTX 970. Whereas, more storage is always better, plus the 4790k's hyper-threading will e beneficial for editing/rendering, and in games like Crysis and BF. The Xeon E3-1220-V3 does not offer hyper-threading.

I see, this is very helpful stuff considering I am fairly new to the whole pc building scene. I definitely do not want to go over $2500 seeing as I will need to buy the monitors mic mouse other stuff + games lmfao.

Anyways I really like the $2500 build more then the 2000. I think the 16gb of ram will come in handy plus the new CPU sounds like it will pay for itself in the long run. Not to mention games like Dayz are CPU intensive so to have a fairly powerful CPU would be handy.

I will always have room to upgrade and money to upgrade as time goes by so if I ever see the need to change something I will.

I'm sorry I keep asking this but this will run Bf4 ect on ultra at how many fps? 50+??

I have no experience with a build like that, nor any experience with BF4 so I have no idea. Although, at 1080p, you should get 60FPS easily. I'm assuming you'll be using a 60Hz monitor anyway, so you'll be capped at 60FPS.

I would assume you use something more powerful then what I am capable of affording so yeah, And as for being capped because of the monitor, what monitor could you buy that would enable you to go beyond 60 frames? As nice as 60 frames are it would be interesting to see how far this pc could truly go.

My GTX 760 and A8-5500 can play Bf4 at high 40-60 fps at 1080p. The GTX 970 and 4790 can run it at 60 on ultra.
