Its not really up to me and from what i know its not going to be impletmented if you really want to record gameplay get a elgato or something ect or if you have a next gen console using the recording function.

Next Gen is the whole reason there will not be theatre, You can simply on XB1 or PS4 record and the game is more aimed towards next gen gaming ive always recorded my gameplay with a elgato as its way more reliable then theatre.

Most likely not, but it's not that hard to record on last gen anyway. You can buy a simple, HD capture device for $140. It may seem like a lot just to record, but if you miss theater mode that bad, it's not a bad trade off. Plus you can record your other games as well.
