Specs:
Windows 8.1 64-bit
Intel i7-4790k @4.00ghz
16GB RAM
DirectX 11
2GB GTX 770
I literally built this PC 2 hours ago and whenever I try to install any programs, I get the error message "The setup files are corrupted. Please obtain a new copy of the program." every time. It is a completely clean install of everything. I just installed the all the newest drivers for my parts and a few programs like winRAR, spotify, chrome, Steam, and TeamViewer. Whenever I disable all of my startup apps, it works fine, sure. BUT, I don't want to reboot my computer twice whenever I want to install a program. Any suggestions? First time build. Thanks.

Are you using any anti virus?

Try renaming the setup file also.

I found and fixed the problem. Avast anti virus deleted core files from any .exes I downloaded, thus making the file corrupt. Gonna have to do without Avast, I guess.
