I'm a ps4 user but am always seeing comments saying PC gaming is better, so was thinking about getting a PC, but want to know why it's better and if I should.

Any help/comments are welcome and appreciated.

Thanks.

i don't think you want to even ask this question because it's MOSTLY fan boys in any platform specific forum...but I'd say that they both have their ups and downs

pc is expensive as **** and when you switch over from a console it kinda sucks because using a mouse is wierd. Games are A LOT cheaper though with humble bundle and steam sales. You get a lot of games you would never get on a console but you also lose some so i guess there's that. I'd say overall I like my PC more than my ps4 or xbox one but if you are happy with your ps4 I'd say stay with it because dropping that kind of money is kind of pointless unless you plan on playing games you can only play on pc such as flight simulators like DCS WORLD or FSX........or DayZ which is mainly the reason that i switched to pc a while back

Honestly it comes down to where your friends are. If your friends are on PSN then stay on PSN. PC gaming can be expensive but nowadays you can build yourself a nice gaming PC for a considerable amount cheaper than you could a few years ago.

Well said and very true when I started playing pc at first none of my friends IRL played PC so i pretty much had to find a community(TTG) to meet people. The more friends you have on a platform the more fun its going to be because you will always have someone that you know to play with.

PC is very expensive, However it's so much better then console imo. I used too play xbox in like 09, then switched about last year Christmas, Alot of the games i play i got for half off. CS:GO is a big one i play and i always have people online waiting to play with me. Graphics are so much better, and games run at better FPS, (Depending on your specs of course.) Some games on PC are definitely made for KB + M, But others; you could still use a controller. After the switch, I'm #PCMasterRace till i die. Never going back to console again!

pc as some good games but all are modded to hell so its unplayable but vac works in a very slow way and if you play with a modded and see them get vac youll laugh also you can get 500 fps then on a 30fps console so pc is a little better but if you like the complex of upgrading your gfx every 3years

If your talking graphics and hard drives then yes PC is way better! You can always upgrade your graphics cards and if your hard drive is full you can always buy a new one for very cheap! PC building is always better than buying a pre-made PC as you can choose what you want and have an actual budget.

My preference is PC

Is PC better as a whole? Yes, it is. Because of the ability to chop and change parts, build to YOUR spec and to keep the budget within your limits you get a lot of flexiblilty.

You can build a system for the same price as a new console and it'll play games decently, and something like that can always be upgraded as and when. You can also use an Xbox controller on most games with full button support.

It can be cheaper in the long run. Yes the actual PC will be more than the consoles but when it comes to games you will save a lot of money. [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] is my Steam account and I bought most of my games on sale or in Humble Bundles. So when it comes to games you save a ton of money.

People who say PC gaming is more expensive are completely wrong. The console itself, or the PC, will cost more initially, of course. (doesn't have to cost a fortune if you choose a simple build). But trust me; when I first got my Xbox 360 around 4 years ago it put me down around $300-400 for the bundle (controllers, headset etc.) Week after week, month after month I'd buy new games for ridiculously high prices. In Australia I'd struggle to find an OLD game for less than $20. 3 years later, I had a total of around 30 Xbox games that cost me far more than $1000 in total. Now, I've been PC gaming for around about a year. The PC itself cost around $700 more than the Xbox did, but I now have a total of around 75 games on steam/origin; which would've cost me around $200-250.

Long story short: if you see gaming as a worthwhile investment. Buy a PC. Console gaming is only cheaper for those who don't buy many games. In the long run, if you choose PC gaming you'll save yourself loads of money. Not to mention you'll have more games and a MUCH more powerful system to play on, all for less money than sticking with consoles for a lengthy period of time.

This is assuming you take advantage of sales, of course. If you just buy games at retail price, you will just end up wasting money.

As for the actual gaming experience. It depends on the playstyle you enjoy most. You will enjoy FPS games FAR more than consoles due to the added precision of using a mouse. But if you prefer cruising through single player campaigns, or playing games with your friends who don't PC game, then stick to consoles. It all comes down to personal preference.
