so hey i got console banned a bit ago on my RGH and i am gonna change the KV to unban it but i was wondering which set of info i would put into the rte tool to connect to my console. would i use the original info for my console, or the info from the KV?

just wondering because i have never changed a KV before (have had my console online 2 or 3 times before and go banned in the middle of the last run i had, darn haha)

I'm honestly having a hard time understanding what you are asking to do.

Which "RTE" tool asks to put information into and what info? Just put your new KV on the root of your HDD and reboot and it will unban & you can still connect to tools.

im using that apporitionnet tool thing and when i bought it from them i had to give them some console info to put me in some data thing or whatever, something to do with making sure it only connects to my console and i dont give it out im sure. but yeah.

Put a new KV on the root of your hard drive or youtube how to flash it - afterwards restart your xbox

If you cannot connect afterwards (not ban) go to network settings on the console and reset it to factory settings

the tool that i bought i had to give the people that made it my cpu key i think so they could put me on some list of registered users or something like that..... idk...

Dammit, it seems I am on a rant spree tonight...
You should clarify that doing so will only work if you have a plugin that will implicitly change sectors of your nand to easily swap Xbox 360 key vaults.
If you don't have such a plugin/(service) you will have to do it manually (which any experienced person will advise.)

Oh!!! That makes a lot more sense!
Well if they were smart... They would read the console's CPU key instead of the CPU key that is associated with the keyvault.
There is only one absolute way to find out, ask them lol.
But I hope they are smart enough to read from the console CPU.

Yeah im sure if you only put the KV.bin on the HDD then you can still use those tools but if you flash the kv to your nand then it will change the cpukey meaning you wont be able to connect to the tool so i would just place it on the root mate.

I posted that assuming he had a plugin which allows the kv to be placed on the root as most if not all servers/offline files have that!
