General & Off-Topic forums are not all technically about technology. This is a "Community Forum". We consider it a tech forum because it used to be just that, technology. It then evolved. Your rant is invalid and I appreciate giving my wisdom on dating to people in need of it.

Well it actually says the opposite in the General discussion announcement.

"No one on this website cares about your shoes, dogs, puppies, kittens, mom, dad, brother, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, rabbit, or your ex lover. This is a modding website, this is a technology based website, and it will be ran accordingly."

. So i would say his rant is valid and that things like dating advice should not be on this site.

Yeah i get what you mean, honestly asking on a site that focuses on gaming isn't really what you should be doing. Go ask a real life person for that.

This entire site isn't actually just focused on gaming. Behind the scenes it's kind of like a facebook. We get on to chat with our friends, IM, even post "statuses".

However, it can still be posted in the General & Off-Topic discussion if someone wants "advice". However no one can decide what to do for someone.

"Based on technology/modding" to me, means that the website was made with the focus to be technology/modding, not things like dating advice. Nobody comes on The Tech Game for dating related topics and i don't think they belong here.

The URL is invalid. I could make a site called "monkeyhornyhearts" and it could be about a zoo? Maybe even a kennel.
