This isn't a secret, this was their original route to the templar, but they changed it and didnt bother removing it.

If you follow it all the way down you get to templar, in the video you didnt go far. Also at the templar, on the spawn platform, up to your right there's a ledge, pakrour up to it and jump round the corner you end up at the end of the path.

It's called the Trial of Kabr, he is the first guardian to make it into the VoG I also think it was the original route. They had a lot more of a story driven game before cutting most of it out
