Hi, my laptop screen is broken (turns like an orangy colour and doesn't do anything when I move my curser).
If I were to get a VGA cable and connect it to my TV would I be able to use my laptop again.
I don't mind doing this and would be way cheaper then getting the screen fixed.
Thanks

If it is literally just the screen that isn't working than that should work.
I had a laptop that had the same problem, but black, and I had to use it on a separate monitor for a while until it completely died.

Yea I'm 100% sure it's the screen. If I shake the screen sometimes I can control it for like 2 seconds before it freezes and turns orange again..

As other have said it will work
There is a problem however. The screen will only load once in windows. So if your laptop screen goes completely, and you need to access anything in the BIOS, then its a guessing game

If the screen itself isn't responding, then yes, you can just connect it via VGA to another laptop/monitor.
