Im am requesting a $2100 dollar CAD build. This computer will be used for general gaming and maybe begin editing for the clan I'm in.

My requests be that it contains the GTX 980.
I will need a Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse.
Things I dont need: A CPU cooler as I already have got a guy to locally sell me his H100I, and a OS.

The $2100 does not include the price of the Cooler. I always can go over if needed but only about $200 but hopefully not.

Thank you for your help.

This is what I'd get;

I have that case and it's beautiful. Great motherboard that will allow you to overclock the 4790k if you wish and will support another 980 if you ever wish to add a 2nd in SLI. More than sufficient storage. Great keyboard and mouse. Fantastic monitor, I have one myself and love it. You won't need 16GB RAM or an i7 for gaming, but you can afford it and both will help with editing. Plus, the i7 has hyperthreading so is slightly beneficial in games that utilize hyperthreading, such as BattleField ad Crysis.

If I decide to purchase another 980 would I have to upgrade my power supply, or will this one be enough to run both? And thank you for the build

That PSU is more than enough for two GTX 980's in SLI.

But a more expensive pc will last alot longer in terms of what it can and cant run so its probabl worth it in the long run

Nice build, but IMO OP should look into his peripherals as they are completely based on preference. Not saying the CM KB and the Corsair mouse you linked are bad, but they are all based on preference.

EDIT: Also, why a 22" monitor with 5ms response and 60hz refresh rate? There's an extra 100$ OP could spend to get a 24" 120Hz monitor. Like [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
