I am looking for a recording software/program that won't completely bog up my pc, I average 50-60 FPS in most games, so it's not a complete toaster, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated cX

If you have a Nvidia GTX 600 card or better then you can use the ShadowPlay feature in GeForce Experience to record gameplay. It records directly from the GPU so it causes hardly any frame drops when recording.

I second the comment above.
ShadowPlay is by far the best I have ever used.
If you have a graphics card that isn't compatible, use FRAPS.

Yes shadowplay is great for recording but does require a Nvidia 600 series or above card.

Or, if you have an AMD card, you can use their version on Raptur called GVR
IMO, Fraps is the worst recorder by a long shot.
Dxtory is about as good as you going to get if you know your way around the software
