I beat the raid on normal from start to finish getting all the chests. I also started at Atheon on hard and defeated him receiving a couple trinkets. Can I start the raid on hard and get anything from the chests before Atheon?

The chests are a one time deal. You can receive boss rewards twice if you beat both difficulties.
