I lost my password to my account (Dawk) on here, since I forgot the email, I am probably never going to get it back.
BUT, I had the password saved in a notepad file on my desktop, but since my PC broke, I had to boot of the recovery disk > Format my HDD, and reinstall Windows. I did all this via the Windows Installation Application.
Of course, my password went with it
Does anyone know a tool (free one) to recover data from a formatted HDD?
If that is not possible, I will NEVER get it back.
If one works, I might be able to pay, depending on how much cash I currently have.
Thanks all!

You can use a free program call Recuva to attempt recovery of files that have not been written over. You mentioned formatting, which would mean files have been written over making data recovery by you nigh impossible.

Thank you for the reply. I will take a look now. I suppose it is worth the try, but as you said, high chance it will not. But thanks again.
