I've been designing sports photos for a good amount of time and would just like some feedback. If you ever need any gfx done I do those as well anyway here it is.

NegSpace wrote Too much topaz for my liking, if that's what you used...

I know the look your going for, but this is overkill, and you've lost most of the detail.

Agreed. It's great but the realism is gone for the most part.

The edges are sketchy and could be touched up a little

Other than that I like it

I like it too, but I agree with the edges comment. Background texture doesn't flow very well with the player IMO. How's it going HOF?

Lol we haven't been able to talk in a while! It's been going good. Just trying to start a GFX business but failed about twice now.

Ill tell you why it failed twice (And why many others fail) is you would rather make money from your work than just work on improving. No offence but the above piece does not show a skill level that is required to sell your work.No on is going to put you down for that though as long as you willing to work in improving especially if you want to do it for a business.

Also many people on here , YT and twitter with basic knowledge of the program (Banners etc) then start charging and when you start charging (If they somehow get people to pay them) they are then stuck in that style of work and there not actually improving.

Thats just my advice , It seems so many people are so quick to try and sell their work and not improve it , I have been designing for a while now , Took it for A level did a levels , Did decent (Got a B) but i wouldn't consider myself anywhere near the level where i could start selling my work , And i wouldn't want to as im still enjoying working on aspects of my design i like (Sports / football posters) and aspects i need to improve (Type)

Honestly, to me this image is too out of texture, it has too many effects on it. (don't get me wrong it looks like you put alot of effort into this, but it takes the texture out of it.)
