But if you're unable to obtain one for whatever reason, I honestly recommend staying on your last gen console. I've had the PS4 since May and I've been bored since July. It'll be really fun at first, all the cool new features and graphics. But you'll grow bored quickly, and the games on this console just aren't worth it yet, and all the new games coming out or at least most of them will be on last gen too. I moved back to my 360. That's my recommendation.

I posted an answer to a question just like this a while ago. Here's the answer:

- Was cheaper
- Smaller Console
- Lighter
- Looks Better
- More features with controller
- Less paywalls
- User friendly menu
- Lots of mics are compatible
- Best singleplayer exclusives
- More popular
- No annoying power brick
- Can have INTERNAL hard drives
- Ability to install SSD drives which improves loading times
- PS4 starts up faster
- We now have themes Smile

There are some more but I will stop here since you made your choice. If I were you, you should get the console that your friends have. Also take a look at exclusives. Sony has the best singleplayer exclusives such as Uncharted and Microsoft has the best multiplayers such as the Halo remakes.

Its your decision.

xbox is better for multiplayer shooters like cod and halo and gears. ps4 is better to single player games like uncharted and last of us. the psn on ps4 has greatly improved since ps3. the ps3 psn was pure garbage. the xbox one's snap sucks and thier party system is garbage compared to the 360. xbox one controller feels good in hand, only problem are the bumpers. the bumpers are extremely stiff, so makes trowing grenades in cod/destiny/battlefield very hard and frustrating. the vibrations on the one's controller is very cool. xbox one controller takes 2 AA batteries though, kinda sucks. you can buy a play n charge kit wich is another $30. the ps4 controller is alot smaller than the xbox one's but it still feel amazing. two things i dont like about the ps4 controller is that the thumbsticks seem to be made out of dog crap. the rubber break/ripps/falls off very fast. in a shooter's time it would take aprox 2-3 months. in a average gamer's time (sports games/racing games/other) it would take aprox 4-7 months to mess up. shooters use the tumbstick more aggressively than other gamers. the ps4's "start" button has been changed into a "options" button and is located wierdly. i own a xbox one and 360. played the ps4 a few times. i dont like where the options button is located, i keep pressing the touchpad when i try to press the options button. ps4 controlller uses a rechargeable batter that is not removable. ps4 is currently $400 and xbox one will be $350 from nov 2nd til jan 2nd. ps4 has better graphics. xbox's kinect is really cool and fun but not needed. its a nice feature to have for netflix. psn membership is $50 a year while xbox live is $60 a year. hope this helps

I personally bought the xbox one for playing with friends when they get it. But I think I should've went with ps4. It looks better and it is a true gaming console

If you've got friends on the One then you made the right choice. Both of them are pretty boring, but at least you've got your friends over there to play with.

ps4 is great so i xbox one depends on were your friends are at

Go where your friends are.
If they play PS4, buy that or Xbox if they play that.
