I have a 97 honda accord and I seem to have trouble with my RPM's while it's idling. I've googled and googled and nothing seems to help. It runs just above 500 but it makes the car shake and idle rough and I don't like it.

Anyway to increase the RPMs to just about 750-800?

Do you mean it idles roughly and pretends it's going to die on you?

It's not necessarily going to die. It works and idles just roughly. The engine stresses and has even lower RPM's with the AC unit running.

Try cleaning the throttle body and putting some Sea-Foam in the gas tank. My '06 Chevy Cobalt was doing the same exact thing. Just try to clean the throttle body (Not sure the exact location on your model) and let the cleaner run into the intake. Then try pouring the Sea-Foam into your gas tank and see how it runs then. It fixed mine right up. Good luck man. :2thumbsup:

It makes my car feel like a race car at a red light. I like it but I don't think it's good.

Not necessarily. My dad has been a mechanic for 20+ years in civilian and the Army. You don't always have to repair things. Just know how to work around them.

Yeah. I'd try the throttle body first. It doesn't just stop moving though, does it?

No it bounces. From lows to highs. Like it acts like it's going to stall sort of.
