I had a clio 1.2 dynamique for my first car
Insurance costs loads, I was getting quotes of between 3,000 to 4,000 pounds
I was 17 at the time and decided to get a black box which monitors your driving which cost me 1,400 ppunds
The boxes aren't that bad because I didn't have any mileage limits and no curfews, and Istill put my foot down from time to time
The company I went with us called ingenie

Shopping around is always best
Also put both your parents on the insurance, helps a bit
I managed to go from 1600 on my own to 1200 ish with parents and a bit of shopping around.

Agreed. Or let your parents be the owners and you just a registered driver on the car.

I wouldn't a friend of my godfathers was taken to court for being named but the main user of the car. The loophole is pretty much gone now. Plus you don't build up no claims and all that stuff.
