iPhone screen black?

My screen is black, the phone is off and cannot be turned on or off, also doesnt respond to anything, and the computer doesnt pick it up when i plug it in, any ideas?

have you tried to put it in dfu mode idk if you can if its off but plug it in to your computer. Hold the lock button and home button for 10 secs let go of the lock button but keep ahold of the home button for another 15 sec then it should put it in it...
if not your battery may be bad as i just had this problem and had it replaced now works amazing again

Okay... i'll try the first option and if no luck i'll probably just get a new one as i have warranty

Its either going to be the charging port or the battery. Try cleaning the charging port with a toothbrush if you can then try plugging it in.
The only way to find out what is actually causing the problem is to actually replace the parts, if cleaning the port does not work. I'd recommend taking it to Apple or your local repair shop to see if they could fix it. If you want to repair it yourself the parts for both the charging port and the battery shouldn't cost more that $20-$30.

I just got this same problem a minute ago. I fixed it by holding down both the power and home button until the screen came on. Still not sure what caused it
