his budget is only 100 pounds has anyone got any suggestions

Not possible.

The PSU is a SFX which basically means no ordinary PSU will fit.

100 pound isnt enough for an worth while upgrade.

Whats the highest amount he can get together

300 pounds maybe but i'm not sure he will want to spend that much all at once

So, it looks like an i5, with no GPU. RAM, HDD and CPU are fine. PSU and case definitely need upgraded before he can even think about a GPU so if he's not wiling to spend £300 at once, he's going to be stuck with the i5's iGPU. It also looks like it came with a PoS motherboard which could do with being upgraded.

It looks to be an mATX motherboard so if he's going to spend £300, I'd suggest this;
