I dont know much about this particular side but what you need to do is motion track. By that i mean track the camera from the footage to create points or a camera in cinema 4d to follow. For this you need a program such as Boujou or if you have the latest release of Cinema 4d (Release 16) then this has a motion track feature built in, however i do not know how to use this.
Good Luck!

If you want to use 3D Text in a produced video, you have to create the 3D Text in Cinema 4D - export it as .fbx and editing it in a Video Software like Sony Vegas. If you want to produce a 3D video just in Cinema 4D, you have to animate your camera.

Its quite a complicated process if you have never done any motion tracking before. I would recommend looking up a youtube video on how to do it, because me telling you will get you no where.
There are a couple of ways to do it though, and the programs that I would recommend using for this are: Cinema 4d (for the original text render), After effects, and Boujou for the motion tracking.)
