I'm just confused how someone actually enjoyed the endless eight. I watched all of the first three, skipped everything but the ending of the next four, and watched all of the last one. But yeah, besides the endless eight it was a good series. Especially the movie.

First season was mediocre
Second season was awful
Movie was a solid 9/10

Haruhi Suzumiya was so unorthodox that I think it hit people with a shock factor. But that doesn't mean that it was good just because it was different. I watched the show chronologically, so I enjoyed everything from episode 1 to 13 in order. After that with the endless 8 I didn't really care for, but those first 3 episodes made me fall in love with the show. I think you'll enjoy it if you thoroughly understand the industry, or you've at least seen a decent amount of anime, if you watched it otherwise and you liked it I feel like you might not have enjoyed the show as much. Either way it's one of my all time favs and I only have 3. The movie was outstanding, absolutely groundbreaking for an anime movie imo. Anyway sorry this was so long, but I really enjoyed the show.

This. It also gave us the Hare Hare Yukai dance, so there's always going to be that too. The endless eight made me want to break my kneecaps with my own face then swap them with my elbows. But now here I am watching Tatami Galaxy which is basically the endless eight with a worse art style but I'm loving every minute of it.
