I am basing this rant on the Xbox one version of the game, I suppose it's the same on PS4 and cant be any better on last gen?

-----

Well right now I am very mad indeed bros, I was so hyped about COD: Advanced Warfare I was convinced it would be impossible to be worse than COD:Ghost, how wrong I was....

Personally, I loved every COD until Ghosts and right now I'm thinking that Advanced Warfare makes Ghosts actually look good.

My reasons?

#1 - Literally EVERYONE finds the highest vantage point/roof on the map and just camps there ADS, Call Of Duty: Advanced Roof-fare would be a much more fitting title; seriously. For a game with so much movement ability the purpose of gunskill while rushing is pretty much defeated, Ghosts all over again except more extreme camping.

#2 - Exo Launchers.... Oh my days... Remember them days on MW2? EVERYONE got mad at noobtubes and they have basically just brought them back, unavoidable deaths unless you have flak jacket.

#3 - The servers.. Even on the next generation our billion dollar friends over at Activision are still too tight to shell out a miniscule fraction of that wealth to provide us with proper dedicated servers, now the guy on the Tesco connection will be sponging everything and melting everyone if he pulls host..

#4 - No longer feels like Call Of Duty, the most accurate way I can possibly describe the feel of the game is a cross between BO2/Ghosts and Titanfall.

#5 - The spawns are perhaps the worst I have ever seen in any COD, right now FFA is simply unplayable, I've lost count of how many times I killed someone and in less than 5 seconds they are behind me and shooting. (Obviously this can and very probably will be fixed which is why I put it as my bottom least important reason)

Personally I would both not recommend and also recommend this game to people

If you like COD:Ghosts, then by all means go ahead and buy it you will probably enjoy it if you prefer to camp.

If you hated COD:Ghosts then I would save my money, I'm assuming you didn't like Ghosts because of the ease of camping opposed to rushing, well I would say AW is even worse for campers despite the exo movement.

I made the mistake of buying day-zero edition from the dashboard and after 3 very unhappy days of gaming I am finished, feel like I've just pissed 55 quid up the wall. Will sure as hell not be buying another IW or Sledgehammer release without testing it before I even think about buying it.

Trolls and fanboys can flame me and disagree all they want, same thing happened with Ghosts I stopped playing it in less than a week and sold my copy. When I posted my rant on Ghosts almost everyone disagreed with me due to the game being out a week, now I would guess at the very least half of those people who disagreed with me then will agree with me now (about Ghosts) considering hundreds of rants where posted weeks/months after mine. My guess is that this game will have the same volume of players Ghost had at the end shortly after Xmas, soon as all the Xmas noobs learn to move properly and camp on roofs literally every bit of fun will be drained from the game, watch and see.

My rating

Campaign - 8/10 (campaign was actually pretty good, kind of expected though.)
Multiplayer - 2/10 (If there was no 'classic' playlists I would give it a 1/10)

P.S If you enjoy the game, good for you. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion(s) but as a run/gun player who finds it boring to just camp, this is my honest opinion on the game. Every release of COD suits my play style except Ghosts and AW, as you will tell with my leaderboard comparisons between mw2/3/bo/bo2 opposed to Ghosts/AW

Rant over, Activision have yet again managed to squeeze more money out of me for no value, that much is my own fault really if I was thinking straight I should have tested before wasting my money.

Thank you for reading, and If you disliked Ghosts I would strongly recommend you try AW before you buy.

Right, first of all there is absolutely nothing wrong with camping. If real soldiers run/gun into battlefields they'd be dead in seconds, the point of camping is to stay alive and not get slaughtered as soon as you move. Using "Camping" as a tactic in any call of duty isn't bad.

Secondly, the Multiplayer really isn't that bad. The maps are decent & allow good flowing gameplay.

That is your opinion the above is my opinion.

Many people will say there is everything wrong with camping as will many people say there is nothing wrong with it. Personally I would say it requires very little to no skill compared to running/jumping/turning around the map.

There where campers on every single COD, but they where not as "OP" as they are on Ghosts or AW.

P.S It's not necessary to compare real life soldiers with COD players, I'm sure everyone has enough common sense the know that real life gunfights are absolutely nothing like COD.

I personally think Ghosts was better.
If it wasn't for the classic playlist I wouldn't be playing the game anymore.

I haven't played much of the campaign yet but I've heard good things. I really hope we don't see another cod like this, absolutely dreadful.

Oh get a grip.

You cannot compare an online game to real life - Like at all.

Also, Ive everyone camped in a game, there would be no killing since everyone would be chilling in their spot - Why dont you make a game like that and see how well it sells.

Ive personally never played AW but I had to comment for the reason above.

I Personally hate AW as well, the absolute worst COD by far, think of all the thinks you could buy with the money they spent on creating this absolute ass wipe of a game.

I most likely will buy the next one because I like Treyarchs games, I did Like EVERY infinity ward release until Ghosts happened and I did like Sledgehammers MW3 very much and of course Advanced Warafare happened. Not once have I ever claimed WaW all the way up to BO2 being bad games, I thoroughly enjoyed them all. Therefore your point implying that I buy every COD and complain is invalid, and many people other than myself also dislike Ghosts and AW for the same reasons.
