In the UK Modifications affect your insurance especially if you're a young driver anything that increases performance of your vehicle will definitely increase your insurance! Wait a few years until your insurance drops unless you have the money to cover the insurance and the modifications. You could do In Car Entertainment & Security ect

Anything and everything you add as a mod and declare to the insurance will increase it. Whether your increasing performance or aesthetics, it will increase.
Increasing performance shows your wanting to drive faster, therefore more likely to have an accident.
Making it look nicer makes it more eye catching and more likely to be stolen. Any way the insurance company can get more money from you they will do it...
And to the both of you...
Just :kawaii:

Most of the time no matter what you do it will effect insurance, A friend of mine decided to change his wheels to a set of BBS LM reps (not genuine) and it up his insurance up by nearly 100GBP! that's just cosmetic mods who knows what they would of said about his re-map and supporting mods.
You could always not tell, I wouldn't advice it though.

PlayStation wrote modifications dont affect your insurance, lmaoDepending on the modification, and if you tell your insurance provider about the modification incase anything happens to it, your insurance will go up. Modifications that generally raise insurance the most are stuff like any mod that changes the look and performance of your car can be assessed by your insurance to be a higher accident risk.
