I'd have to say Biggie.

Justification (This is my personal opinion so may/may not be right in your eyes)
Wordplay: The rhythms that he used were amazing. There is no one who had the ability to make rhythms that were so basic but yet so initiative.

Storys: He had the ability to tell stories within his raps. His attention to deal with the words made it possible assume that you were listening to a story about someones life and not a song/rap.

Flow: Biggie was able to use numerous flows within one track. The fact he can mix up rhythm patterns/flows makes him one of the few lyricists who can actually do that. If you were to listen to both of his albums you'd be able to tell that every song has a different flow. He was able to sing, harmonize words on hooks and rhyme words in his bars.

Content: He was able to give a message by his music. The song 'ten crack commandments' is followed on the streets. Rule number 4 'never get high on your own supply' is probably the most followed rule. 'Suicidal thoughts' represents the album theme 'ready to die'. 'Skys the limit' tells you never to give up.

IF Biggie had not been killed the chances of his content progressing much further would of been highly likely. Although, that is personal opinion, just as the information posted above.

You could also say that NAS is another one of the best rappers as he can tell amazing stories within his raps, and has an insane flow.

I would say the main reason Eminem is so big today is due to him being the 'first' white rapper to make it in the industry. He also has an amazing flow, so is also another great rapper in my opinion.

You just cant beat Eminem. The lyrics have so many different meanings and he writes them mostly about his past experiences
