There are many things you can do to get the case open: you could saw through the plastic casing on top; drill through the screws in the metal casing; melt the case with fire; dissolve the screws; dissolve the entire case; place a firework in the disc drive and hope for the best.
... or you could just buy a torx screwdriver for $2-3 and avoid the risk of ruining your console.

A few local hardware stores around my area have Torx screwdrivers.
I would go on YouTube and look up xXModdedWarefareXx.
He has an entire series called JTAG Tutorials and one video is How To Correct A Bad/Corrupt NAND flash even if Xell doesn't boot. Give that a try first, then open it up. Only if you have a general idea of what you're doing.

Give his solution a try then. I had an issue where I couldn't boot XeX menu. I reflashed through Xell and rebuilt it. Give it a shot, it can't hurt.

How can he reflash when it won't boot properly. Seems either something like a bad nand or depending on what console it is maybe it's on it's way out.

Because xXModdedWarfareXx Has a way on his channel to flash like that? Go ask him. He made the tutorial, not me.

Probably easiest way is to open up and flash it with Nand-x does it have the QSBs installed?
