Well you need a operating system that works with it as well. Some do not work with dual monitors, windows does for sure.

I have dual screened on:
Mac OS X
Linux (Ubuntu, Mint, Sabayon, Debian and a few others)
Windows (XP, Vista, 7 32 Bit, 7 64 Bit and 8)
So your statement is looking pretty silly tbh.

Which is a Linux variant, so I can see no issues with dual screens with Steam OS> plus lots of people use surround and Steam wouldn't be silly enough to not allow them to do so.

Two Monitors and cables for each like the above poster stated.
Make sure though that you check what interfaces you need. For instance I run dual screens with a Radeon HD7950. I have one monitor running off the DVI port and the other off the HDMI connector, since my graphics card does not have 2 DVI connectors.

May I ask what 7950 variant you're using? I am currently on a Sapphire 7950 and I have two DVIs and HDMI

Sorry I should've been a bit more specific. MSI R7950 Twin Frozer
