Hi all I built my 750 euro pc last year. I thought it would last a couple of years but sadly not I have just downloaded the new assassins creed and im not getting
above 30 fps on all low and playing in 720p

My current pc specs:

Cpu: Amd fx 6300 3.5Ghz 6 core

Ram: 2 x 4gig gaming ram

Gpu: Amd radeon r9 270x

Motherboard: Gigabyte 78lmt

PSU: XFX PRO550W

anything else you want be to list I can

Like i said I payed 750 euro to build this computer last year including monitor which was 100 euro

I have tryed overclocking my cpu and gpu but not seeing any really difference might(might be doing it wrong )

If I where to build a new pc I would spend around 1000 euro

can anyone shade some light

You would spend 1000 euros on a new PC, but only 300 euros on upgrades? If you've got 1000 euros, upgrade your current build with that. Switch CPU and motherboard to Intel, add an SSD. That's pretty much all you need to do but a case upgrade may be wise, depending on your current case. Also, upgrading GPU is never a bad idea.

Edit- Either this thread is a mess or my brain is. Your currency is euros, but where are you located? Assuming you're in Ireland, you could buy from scan. If you have 1000 euros, you can spend about £750 on [ Register or Signin to view external links. ] , I think.

If I'm right, and the shipping costs aren't too outrageous, you may be able to get this;

You don't need a PSU upgrade, but your current unit is non-modular, and a fully modular PSU is always nice. Your case may not need an upgrade either, but we don't know. You can get the 128GB MX100 instead of the 256GB version, if you'd prefer. If you don't want to upgrade case and PSU, swap the 4690k for an i7-4790k. Add a decent CPU cooler when, and if you decide to overclock. Sorted. Re-use your current HDD and RAM regardless.

I see. Well, if it cost you 750 euros when you bought it, you're not getting the same amount back. Find out what case you have, if you can. Decide whether your going with a whole new build or if you'll just upgrade. If you decide on a new build, wait until you have the money for it. If you're going to upgrade, get an upgrade budget and we can help. We also need to know where you're from, and if you have a preferred site, tell us what it is.
