Ive been trying to play an emulator and it doesnt find the .elf file it says is trying ftp after it cant find the one on my usb please help

Make sure the emulator files are on the root of your usb, not inside a folder otherwise it won't detect it.

Then I wouldn't know, that was my issue, try a different usb, that's another known issue. and what emulator are you trying to run?

i am trying to run mupen64 it was working originally now it doesnt
