What's the issue? Is there something internally wrong?

If not, backplates are quite cheap

You can order a screen replacement kit for around 30GBP and do it yourself (follow youtube tutorials)

Assuming shops would charge about 55GBP+
You could ask around some local shops to see what price they quote but that'd be my guess

If you have apple care, take it to the apple store and they will replace the phone for 49$. If you don't have apple care, you can still take it to the apple store and it will cost you 150$. If you do choose to take it to the apple store, I would recommend backing up the iphone before you go in as they will actually give you a brand new phone and take your old one.
