I am trying to setup a FTB Monster server and I honestly have no idea how to do it so I was hoping I could get some help.

Are you trying to set up a vanilla FTB server, or are you planning on running plugins (essentials, etc) on it?

just a vanilla FTB server. I found that there's files you can download straight from the website with files in order to host so I assumed it was similar to the files you can get for vanilla minecraft servers to host with. But after a few minutes it started giving me errors so I gave up.

Could you post the errors you're seeing? Or post some screenshots?
Thanks!
