Now this is simply whether you believe homosexuals are born homosexual / do not consciously choose to be homosexual, If the environment they were raised in leads them to be homosexual or if they consciously choose and decide to be homosexual.
This has nothing to do with whether or not you like or dislike it as i would rather not have this turn into that kind of thread.
This is not about my personal opinion and as such i will not write my own opinion or try to alter what you believe. I would like everyone who has an opinion on the topic to say what you think or choose an option on the poll. I aim to find out what you the community think about the subject.

I believe it can be any of the three things. My gay uncle grew up without a dad so it could be from that. Or it could be from being born gay.

I have no problem with homosexuals whatsoever but I do not believe you can be born like that. It has to be a choice.

SDP, there are quite a lot of studies which suggest it's a mixture of biology, environment and upbringing.
Even if it was a conscious choice though, who cares?

I believe you are born gay, just like you are born straight. Anyone who does not believe that you can be born gay, there is a simple question to ask.. When did you know you were straight? Its hard to have a true honest answer because you were born and biologically wired to be attracted to women. With all the crazy gene mutations and chromosomes detachments, is it that far off to believe that you can be born gay? You can be born with a disability, you can be born with neurological advantages and disadvantages, so in my eyes it is possible to be born gay, yes. It also is possible for someone to choose to be gay later in life, but in reality.. if they are choosing a life change like that, wasn't already in their minds before that? I don't believe that your upbringing can lead to you being gay, it can be possible but not from your parents. One of my best friends grew up without a father and a mother who was openly gay. In reality he turned into misogynistic man, not a homosexual man. My younger brother just came out to our family last month. He was heavily involved in sports and had girlfriends all throughout high school. It just never felt right to him. He doesn't feel he was meant to be with women and i respect that. All in all i believe you can be born feeling the way you do, no matter what it is.

It doesn't matter what they say causes it but even the bible says that they aren't born that way. It said god created man in his own image. That proves it's a choice

Your basing your bias on a belief. Tell me when did you know you were straight? Before you could read or your parents took you to church. When did you know? When did you know you liked little Suzy and not little Steve? I am not bashing religion but it aggravates me when people use the bible to oppose gays. You are born from your mother and fathers genes. Its simple really.

So you're telling me that if irrefutable evidence came out which 100% of scientists agreed with saying that being gay isn't a choice, you would say they were wrong because it opposes the Bible?
Also, what kind of argument is that 'God made man in his own image.' so God is attracted to women? or men if she's a... she?
I didn't realize the God of the Bible who is transcendent and above worldly pleasures was actually Zeus.
