LukeHolland wrote Congrats to you Trident! Hope you have a blast....oh wait...NO! DON'T HAVE A BLAST!!!!

I was thinking about going into the Navy's Nuclear program, but I decided that sitting on a submarine for months at a time would bore the hell out of me.

Seriously though, best of luck to you, and anyone else on here who is going to serve!
Thanks, man! I know I'll have fun! And why don't you become a corpsman? ;) lol. But anyway, thank you!

That would've been a good idea...but I'm already more than 2/3rds of the way to my Bachelors in Aerospace Engineering with a job lined up if I stay on track!
Oh, well congrats on that man!

Axe wrote My dad was in the millitary when I was younger and its probably the main reason why I never wanted that for my kids when I was younger.

My dad passed away when I was younger fighting for our country, and ever since that happened, I never really looked at the military as a viable option for my life as it had already taken so much from me and my family.
Aw dude, I'm really sorry about that, man.. Well I give my respects to your father for fighting for our country!

I was about to, went to the requirement office totally pumped for it. Sergeant screamed at me and said he didnt want me. As I was leaving a recruit said dont worry it was a test. I failed the test apparently because I said ok and left his office.

He now calls me every other week.

I have already done military training in the Irish Defense Forces when I was 16. It was 3 months of training I took because I wanted to join the military.

I have decided against that however and terminated my contract to enlist when a baby came into my family about a year ago, gotta be there for the nephew you know?

If I hadn't, right now I'd be deployed somewhere. It's kind of scary to think I was so close.

Amen to that man! It sucks losing loved ones who fought for our country!
