so recently i bought a new laptop, and i have had it for about 2 weeks now and i noticed that it was getting really slow. so i checked my task manager performance and it only shows half the ram used and i have no idea how to fix this
Would a factory restore fix this?

That print screen is correct.
Your only using 2.3GB of the available 8GB making it 5.6GB available/spear
Your laptop is probably slow because its a bad laptop.

Disabling startup items you don't need using Task Manager will usually prevent any slowdown. You can also uninstall programs you don't use, defrag your hard drive (mechanical only), and disable services with msconfig.
