is LGA 2011 v3 motherboard and a 6 core processor good for gaming and a workstation pc?

I know LGA 1150 with quad core processor is good for gaming and I know that
LGA 2011 and LGA 2011 v3 are good for a workstation PC to render videos etc.. but what's good for both??

Depends entirely on the CPU and whether you plan on gaming more, or editing/rendering more.

Yes, of course it will be.....
But if you are mainly gaming, it's a waste of money where an i7 4790K will do just as good a job.
