Yes they are,

What is your Processor and Case? to see if they are compatible with the motherboard.

also not really a point of getting a Z97 board if you don't have a unlocked processor which im guessing you don't on the Cooler selection and id spend extra on the GPU if you don't have a unlocked processor.

EDIT: Just seen on a previous thread you've got the mobo already and an i5 4690k.

Can i ask why the new cooler? And if its for you to overclock your going to have to save more then that for a decent aftermarket.

Also i see you already have the r9 280 if its going from the build, however it was out of stock at the time and still is.

Anyway if you still haven't got the card but have got the same build, save for a better aftermarket and get the exact same card from amazon

However i don't think it comes with the free games offer like scan

Well, yeah, they are. Although, what CPU do you have? Also, spending 7 on a CPU cooler is stoopid. That cooler isn't even really an improvement over the stock Intel cooler.

EDIT- It looks like you have an i5-4460 and an NZXT Source 210 If so, the Z97 motherboard is compatible with you case and CPU, but it's a waste since you won't be overclocking. Just get a nice B85 chipset motherboard. Don't waste the £7 on that CPU cooler since it's basically Intel's stock cooler but a little larger.

Turns out I bought an 'OEM ' i5-4690K so I got no cpu cooler. I just want a cheap cooler that does the job, I will upgrade to evo 212 down the line when I get more money. So will the arctic cooler I shown you before the the job of cooling my cpu by itself ?

It'll work just as well as a stock cooler. Don't invest in a 212 EVO, save your dolla for a decent AIO cooler, like the H100i so you can overclock dat 4690k. What case do you have though? If you have an mATX case, that motherboard won't work with your case. I can also recommend coolers to save for if I know your case to find out radiator support.

Wow. I seen the post of his build and it just didn't even process. Don't blame me, I'm a bit drunk.

OP-That cooler is fine for now since it will perform just as a stock cooler would. However, you shouldn't be overclocking with that cooler. The Elite 430 supports 2x120mm fans top-mounted so you could top mount a 240mm rad. I'd suggest saving for an H100i and then overclocking once you've upgraded your cooler. I'm assuming you've already bought that PC. However, if you haven't, I seriously suggest spending the extra £5 on SeaSonic's cheapest fully modular unit over that XFX unit.

I was gonna pick up a r9 280 from a local store but gave them a ring and turns out not in stock.
Luckily I found it on Ebuyer for 137.70 and I'll get it for monday.
does my I5-4690K come with integrated graphics so I can build today and just slot in the R9 280 on Monday ?
Also I need thermal paste right ?

yes the 4690k cones with an iGPU. If you haven't got a cooler for the cpu dont run it.

That's fine, get it from eBuyer. You'll need thermal paste for the CPU cooler, yes. The 4690k has an iGPU that'll do you fine for the weekend. Although, don't strain the CPU if it doesn't have a cooler, and make sure you have enough case fans and airflow or that 4690k is going to heat up real quick.
