I'm looking at upgrading my case and motherboard, but I'm not sure what would be best for the money. For the motherboard (AM3+) I'd like to keep it under $200 and the case I'd like to keep under $125, and I don't care about the looks really I want the best for cable management. Maybe a full tower
Current specs:
Cpu: amd fx 6300
Memory:8gb crucial ballistix sport ddr3 1600
Graphics: Gtx 650 oc (getting r9 280 with these upgrades)
Mobo: Asus m5a78l-m lx plus
Psu: thermaltake tr2 500w

I don't see the point on upgrading that motherboard your CPU isn't high end and you'll be able to meet its overclocking capabilities fairly easily.
A case is very subjective and completely dependent on opinion...
Any Fractal case, S340 from nzxt is a good choice.
You really don't need a full tower.

I was wondering why you wanted to upgrade your motherboard?
Yes it doesn't have Sata 3, More than 2 ram slots or USB 3.0 ports but its not really anything that is going to effect your performance.
What is your current case? A full tower case is completely unnecessary unless you really need that much space E.G 4 way Sli.
What I'd do is Get something like an S340 - [ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
And spend the rest towards a better GPU.
No point swapping out the Mobo unless you decide to move to intel.

Absolutely no need for a full sized case. Assuming you're not bothered about OCing, you could get this;
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
[ Register or Signin to view external links. ]
Comes to $320 total, so still within budget. You get a fully modular PSU which helps with cable management and a nice mATX case with a CPU upgrade.

Thanks but I feel I haven't really stressed my cpu enough to need to upgrade it. i guess if i don't need to upgrade my motherboard then i'll just wait and upgeade my cpu and mobo together at a later date. So with that being said what case should i get?

Just because you haven't "stressed" your CPU, doesn't mean it wouldn't be worth while upgrading CPU. Why wait a while to upgrade CPU when you can afford to upgrade to a decent CPU right now? Upgrading PSU will really help for cable management since your current unit is non-modular. Your current motherboard is mATX and there's no need to change motherboard unless you're upgrading CPU. The N200 is a great case and will do you fine. Although, if you want something else, have a look at NZXT and Fractal Design. The Define R4, H440, S340, Arc Mini R2 and Arc Midi R2 are all beautiful cases.
