"You're too stupid".
If you're going to insult someone's intelligence, don't spell like a derp.

Please stay on topic, thank you.

Solve wrote *Note* I have no problem with immigration as long as it is done legally.

Facts

There were 11.2 million unauthorized immigrants in the U.S. in 2012

Unauthorized immigrants make up 5.1% of the U.S. labor force.

For every 100 illegal aliens who find jobs in the U.S., 65 American workers are displaced.

Each year, more than 72,000 aliens are arrested for drug offenses in the U.S.

Illegal aliens constitute over 25% of the federal prison population. Think about that for a moment. This means that a group which comprises less than 5% of the population is committing 25% percent of the crime.

Illegal immigration costs U.S. taxpayers about $113 billion a year at the federal, state and local level. The bulk of the costs some $84 billion are absorbed by state and local governments.

One out of every five children living in Los Angeles County has a parent that is in the country illegally.

Personally, illegal immigration disgusts me. Our country is already overpopulated as it is, now we have these illegal immigrants (mainly from Mexico) coming into our country. It is sad to see that our government can not take responsibility for this and do something about the border. I actually tend to lean more democratic but I strongly disagree with Obama's immigration act that he has put into play as of yesterday (11/21/14).

All opinions welcome.

i hate illegal immigration aswell! i like legal immigrants and immigration as long as they are working. link where you got the facts though so people know this isnt coming out your arse.

Well think of it like this.
I agree 200%.
Say you just a job at a car manufacturing plant.
You've been there for 20 years, then you ask your boss for a raise due to your time of being there and you need a little extra money.
You get fired and you find an "illegal immigrant" working there now in your spot. You'd be pissed.
They will work for cheaper just to avoid being deported.
Many companies now days will hide the fact they are illegal just to keep them employed.
You can replace them easy too.
I feel bad for people in mexico
Terrible place with the cartel and bad environment.
But they should be going through stuff like everyone else.

Also the us needs to be better at allowing and working on the legal stuff faster. Average wait time is like a year or so.
So there is faults on each side

I agree, as long as it is legally done there is no issue.

as immigration actually helps the country in some areas.

just dont move to another country and sponge off the government & that goes for people who already live there

Not meaning to come across as racist/offensive but I feel that way about polish migrating to scotland, I mean I work in a housing office and The amount of applications that comes in for them is shocking.. Probably would be halfed by now if we went independant

But they come over, Steal hard working scottish peoples jobs because they work for less than minimum wage which is not fair at all.

SOME not all of polish people, Even come over to our country and bascially thing they can run the place almost.

Terrible

Good point. The legal process is actually more like 7-10 years. The conditions are rough in Mexico but that doesn't make it right to break federal laws. Also, I think Obama is taking the right steps towards figuring this illegal immigration out. If you watch his speech he makes very valid points to trying to solve it. He tried to write a bill but the House of Reps would not even consider passing it, although I believe it is necessary.

Same problem in America, particularly with Mexico. Our government just doesn't do anything about it.

The Job one is the one that bugs me, the aliens are filling spaces current native population do not want to fill due to low paying wages.

Aliens do pay taxes individually.

Other countries are getting more immigrants than America.

Why are people so hell bent on keeping people off their land?
Especially a country that was created through this exact thing.

I never said countries didn't get more immigrants that America? You are bending what I said.

I want to keep people off this land because we are overpopulated as is and they just make the situation worse. Also, like I said, i'm fine with legal immigration. It's not America's fault that the Mexcian government is terrible. It is in our CONSTITUTION that we do not allow illegals in our country, and yet we do nothing about it.

Have you ever read the constitution? Probably not. Otherwise you'd know that it does not ever mention immigration.

The constitution is meant to be interpreted, that is how it was written. Illegal immigration is considered to be covered in the constitution. Refer to article 1 or the preamble.

No need to make incorrect assumptions here. Why don't you share your opinion rather than attacking individuals on the forums?
