So I'm going to be purchasing some new computer parts to upgrade my computer.
I have a budget of 450GBP
I need:
SSD (to run to record gameplay to)
GPU (was thinking GTX970)
PSU (currently have 550W PSU although I think I need higher for this build although not too sure)
Computer Case
I will be using this computer for gameplay recording such as skyrim, minecraft, call of duty, battlefield etc and also for editing in programs like sony vegas.
My other computer parts currently consist of:
i5 3570K Processor
MSI G43-Z77A Motherboard
8GB RAM

What Make and Model is your PSU?
Also I wouldn't suggest getting an SSD to record on as it will fill up in no time.

Yes I thought about that for the SSD although the file sizes wont exceed 40GB each time so anything from 40 and above is fine

What's your current case? You won't need any more than a 550W PSU for a single card rig, as long as it is decent quality. Open your case and find out the make and model of your PSU. Also, what is your current GPU?

And save up abit more and get an SSD later.
The 970 is the best for the buck at the moment it can also be overclocked like a champ matching 980 performance.
especially when you extend the power limit >.>

A little over, but I'd get this;

Your current PSU is absolutely fine and you don't really need an upgrade. However, your XFX unit is non-modular, and the SeaSonic unit I suggested is fully modular. If that doesn't bother you, keep your current PSU and invest the extra £60 into a larger SSD.
