Fully Modular basically means better cable management.

Fully modular PSUs are better for aesthetics and airflow pretty much.

Your current PSU is absolutely fine and you don't really need an upgrade. However, your XFX unit is non-modular, and the SeaSonic unit I suggested is fully modular. If that doesn't bother you, keep your current PSU and invest the extra 60 into a larger SSD.

I would stay away from EVGA for the 900 series. Their cards have been shown to run both hotter and loder than the competition. I really like the MSI card this time around, great cooling and also has a 0 decibel mode (only found elsewhere on the Asus card).

All of the non-reference 970's run about the same heat and output the same amount of noise. The SACX 2.0 is actually supposedly a very good cooler and I know that the SACX 2.0 card will overclock well, and with ease. The MSI cooler is also good, but it is an extra £5. If OP wanted, he could get the Zotac card to save £16, but I personally think the SACX 2.0 cooler is one of the nicer looking 970's. Up to OP though.

Also I wouldn't suggest getting an SSD to record on as it will fill up in no time.

Yes I thought about that for the SSD although the file sizes wont exceed 40GB each time so anything from 40 and above is fine

You realize that SSDs are quite small in storage size and quite expensive in comparison to HDDs? Why not get a large HDD for 1/4 of the cost of the SSD that would take longer to fill up with videos and what not?
